About Us 
Hola, my name is Virginia and my husband's name is Mel. We have been
together for 13 years and married for 6. We have a young daughter
aged 3. We all originate from Bridgend, South Wales. For many years before my daughter was born I worked in the Human Resources field. Mel, since a very early age expressed an interest in cars and motorbikes which lead him into Mechanical repairs. He has an exceptional interest in "how things work". Early part of 2005 we made the decision that we would move abroad, to Spain. Mel found work almost immediately (very lucky). We recently made the decision to start our own business AND here we are. @ THE CAR WORKSHOP’ is a family run business based on the Poligono
Poniente Industrial Estate at Catral, approximately half way between
Alicante and Torrevieja in the Valencia region of Spain. Our garage facility is fully equipped to carry out all forms of maintenance and repairs to all makes and models, including some commercial vehicles. We also sell a variety of high quality used cars. All work is carried out by Mel, a fully trained and qualified mechanic with over 20 years mechanical experience and a qualified MOT tester in the UK. All our work is fully guaranteed, and is carried out to the same exacting standards that we apply to our own vehicles. We pride ourselves in not being a ‘Back Street Garage’ nor a ‘Main Dealer Garage’ but a family run garage that offers a professional and good quality service at a fair and reasonable price.
